I was the chief architect behind the #CreateSustainably dream, an infographic illustrated by Ben Lueders during his Eleven19 days for FotoSeeds. FotoSeeds was an education venture I created with Geoff Johnson to help photographers find overlapping harmony between financial health, care of the creative heart, and technical skill.
Through a playful narrative, our infographic laid out an effective path both amateur and professional creatives could take to continue doing what they love without losing their passion or having it exploited and used against them. It envisioned a future where creative hobbyists and professionals worked together in tandem, sometimes as different roles for the same person.
In the spring of 2013, it hit something in the cultural ethos and quickly spread throughout the photographic community, giving us honorable mention for one of the best photography blogs of the year. It also went on to win an ADDY Award, which suddenly made me an award winning copywriter.
